Some of Iceland's best seal and bird-watching can be enjoyed near Ósar, 30 km off the ring road on the Vatnsnes peninsula. Ósar is known as being a haven for nature lovers and history buffs alike as well as the scene of dramatic historical events, myths and folklore.
